Damage Rule (Single Rat Bite)

  • On normal hit: deal 1 stamina damage (not a wound).
  • On Partial Critical or if target is already Bleeding: deal 1 wound instead.

Partial Critical: Bite

  • Scurry and Snap: Deal bite effect and immediately reposition 5 ft without provoking.

Rat Swarm

Swarm Body

  • Called shots do not apply to the swarm.
  • All successful attacks against the swarm hit Core.
  • The swarm cannot be grappled, pinned, or disarmed.

Attacks

  • Swarm Bite (H): On hit, deal 1 stamina damage.
  • If target is Prone, Restrained, or unable to reposition, Swarm Bite deals +1 stamina.

Partial Critical: Swarm Bite

  • Overrun: Target takes normal swarm bite and gains Bleeding (or +2 DC on next action if already Bleeding).

Behavior Notes

  • Swarm pressures exposed targets, fallen targets, and isolated targets first.
  • Fire, loud disturbance, and sudden area disruption can break swarm cohesion at Guide discretion.
