  • Partial Critical: Apply Latch (target gains one grapple lock) or deal +1 stamina damage.

Constrict Pull

  • RLHF: 2 tentacle slots + 1 head slot on the same target
  • Check: Melee (contested vs target Athletics or Melee average DC)
  • On Success: Pull target one range step closer and apply one additional lock.
  • Partial Critical: Pull target and make target Disoriented until end of next turn.

Ground Thrash

  • RLHF: 4 tentacle slots
  • Check: One Melee roll; compare against each focused target’s defense DC
  • On Success vs target: Deal 1 stamina damage and target loses 5 ft of reposition this round.
  • Partial Critical vs target: Also applies one lock.

Body Surge

  • RLHF: leg-equivalent body mass action
  • Check: Athletics (contested when crossing guarded lanes)
  • On Success: Reposition one range state and keep up to 2 existing locks.

Dual Focus Mind

  • Chooses up to 2 focused targets at start of its turn.
  • Changing focus mid-turn costs one tentacle attack.

  • A target with 2 or more active locks from this creature takes +2 DC on non-Break-Free actions.

Encounter Use

  • Best as a battlefield controller with minions or hazards.
  • Counterplay is severing tentacle capacity, breaking line of control, and forcing focus splits.
  • Designed to pressure multiple players without one-shotting them.
