President Rock
In a strange political experiment, an independent candidate campaigns on a radical promise:
If a five-pound rock could handle the situation by doing nothing, I will do the same.
After winning the election, the rock remains on his desk.
Over time, the nation begins reorganizing itself around the one thing the rock never does:
react.
The result is a political system where:
crises de-escalate
institutions begin solving problems themselves
people project their beliefs onto the rock
The rock never speaks.
The rock never moves.
Yet somehow it becomes the most stable presidency in modern history.
